Job summary

Mid-Willamette Family YMCA in Albany, OR is seeking a Bridges: Before and After School Program Counselor for a part-time role. You will create a safe, engaging, and supportive environment for students, guiding activities and supervising children on-site after school hours.

Responsibilities include implementing enriching programming, building positive relationships with students and families, communicating effectively with caregivers, and collaborating with YMCA staff to uphold the organization's

Qualifications

• Diploma and work experience with children.
• Ability to exercise sensitivity dealing with individuals of diverse socio-economic backgrounds, cognitive and physical levels.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Must meet all pre-employment requirements including but not limited to the criminal history investigation.
• Certifications required within 90 days of hire: CPR/AED, First Aid and Safe schools.
• Understand and be committed to the YMCA mission and character development.
