Job summary

Canadian Pacific Kansas City (CPKC) is seeking a Structures Foreman to lead maintenance of bridges, buildings, and related structures in a safety‑driven environment. You will oversee crews, plan tasks, and coordinate materials for restoration on timber, concrete, and steel structures.

Responsibilities include inspections, equipment operation, and accurate record‑keeping. A CDL Class A, carpentry/masonry/welding background, and MS Office proficiency are required; location is Bensenville,

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Background in carpentry, masonry and welding or other applicable trades.
• Valid Class A CDL license.
• Knowledge of MS Office preferred.
• Adept at conveying information accurately and providing straightforward directions.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and perform inspections, maintenance, and repairs on railroad bridges, including timber, concrete, and steel structures.
• Coordinate repair projects by securing needed materials, planning tasks, and organizing bridge crews.
• Operate and assist with equipment such as hoisting equipment, drills, rivet busters, and cutting tools.
• Inspect, test, and repair bridge components like timber, rails, spikes, bolts, and fasteners.
• Carry out general upkeep at heights on ladders or scaffolding; clear debris and maintain properties.
• Specialize in maintenance of structures including buildings and station facilities to ensure safety.
• Record inspection findings, repair details, and structural conditions in official reports.
• Lift and carry materials weighing up to 50 lbs as required.
