Job summary

H&H is seeking a Structural Engineer to join our Portland, OR office. You will work on bridge projects from concept through final design, collaborating with our design team to deliver durable infrastructure solutions.

The ideal candidate has a BS in Civil Engineering, 5–15 years of structural experience with a focus on bridges, and an Oregon PE (or ability to obtain within six months). Strong communication and proficiency with AutoCAD/MicroStation are preferred.

Qualifications

• BS in Civil Engineering required; MS preferred.
• 5–15 years of Structural Engineering experience focusing on bridge design preferred.
• Oregon PE license or ability to obtain within 6 months; CO/WA/CA PE/SE is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed plans and construction documents.
• Perform engineering calculations to support plans and documents.
• Develop contract specifications, bid documents, and technical reports.
• Occasional field site visits.
• Perform structural tasks under the Project Engineer and Discipline Lead.
• Potentially assume Project Engineer/Discipline Lead duties with experience.
