System One is seeking a Structural Engineer to manage bridge replacement, rehabilitation, and new alignment projects in Guaynabo, PR. You will lead structural analysis, design, load calculations, and cost estimates while acting as Engineer-of-Record on multi-discipline programs for an established client in the engineering services sector.

You will mentor junior engineers, review specifications and contractor submittals, and support proposals while maintaining strong client relationships.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering is required.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license in Puerto Rico is required.
• 10+ years of experience.
• Strong knowledge of AASHTO, PRHTA, and municipal design standards and plan preparation requirements.

Responsabilidades

• Manage multi-discipline projects including bridge replacement, new bridge alignment, or rehabilitation.
• Perform structural load calculations and bridge plan/specifications development.
• Lead structural analysis, design, and cost estimates for bridge projects with diverse teams.
• Provide post-design services including review of shop drawings, RFIs, and submittals.
• Manage project planning to ensure high quality and timely completion.
• Oversee structural condition assessments and load ratings.
• Serve as the Engineer-of-Record on assigned tasks.
• Use AutoCAD and structural analysis/design software (LARSA, SAP, Bentley OpenBridge).
• Assist with proposal development.
• Review construction specifications and provisions.
• Lead the development of design reports.
• Delegate to and supervise entry-level engineers.
• Maintain strong client relationships.

Overview
System One is seeking a Structural Engineer to manage bridge replacement, rehabilitation, and new alignment projects, leading structural analysis, design, load calculations, cost estimates, condition assessments, and post-design support while serving as Engineer-of-Record. The position also involves project management, proposal development, client relationship management, reviewing specifications and contractor submittals, and mentoring junior engineers using industry-standard structural design and analysis software. • Use computer programs such as AutoCAD, Structural analysis software (LARSA, SAP, etc.), and Structural design software (Bentley Open Bridge Designer, PCA Col, etc.).

• Lead the development of design reports.

• Delegate to and supervise entry-level engineers.

• Maintain strong client relationships.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering

• Professional Engineer (PE) license in Puerto Rico

• 10+ years of experience

• Strong knowledge of AASHTO, PRHTA, and municipal design standards and plan preparation requirements
