Are you a bridge engineering professional with a strong work ethic, eager to learn and the ability to work collectively within a team? We are actively seeking a skilled Bridge Staff Engineer II to join our dedicated team in Lehigh Valley, PA. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in designing, analyzing, and inspecting critical structures, contributing to projects that make a lasting impact on the built environment.

Responsibilities

• Structural Design and Analysis:
• Design and analyze a variety of structures, including bridges, culverts, buildings, and retaining walls.
• Develop solutions for the maintenance, repair, or replacement of existing structures.
• Develop design reports in accordance with PennDOT Bridge design standards.
• Bridge Inspections:
• Perform National Bridge Inspection Standards (NBIS) bridge inspections to evaluate the condition and safety of infrastructure.
• Prepare NBIS bridge inspection reports.
• Collaborating with Project Teams:
• Work alongside Project Managers, Project Engineers, and other Staff Engineers to deliver high-quality results.
• Project Deliverables:
• Support the preparation of project deliverables, including manuals, specifications, and documentation.
• Ensuring Compliance:
• Uphold company policies, quality control standards, and best practices throughout all phases of project execution.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering with a Transportation/Structures emphasis or related degree.
• EIT or PE licensure (or ability to secure through reciprocity within 6 months).
• 3+ years of experience in bridge design.
• NBIS bridge inspection certification is preferred.
• Knowledge of PENNDOT design standards and procedures.
• Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Working familiarity of Microstation.
• Team player with strong skills in communication, planning, and organization.
• Flexibility to travel to job sites, meetings, and other offices (Valid U.S. driver’s license is required).
• Legal right to work in the U.S.
