Job summary

HDR is seeking a Bridge Project Manager in the United States to plan and manage projects from initiation to close, coordinating multidisciplinary teams and ensuring on-time delivery. The role emphasizes client engagement, design development, and compliance with governing agencies.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and manage all aspects of small to medium single-discipline projects or large, routine projects.
  • Coordinate work of professional staff and balance team across project development.
  • Establish client relations and participate in marketing, contractual, design and production meetings.
  • Participate in reviews with governing agencies for compliance.
  • Conduct design development and contract document work with staff.
  • Coordinate workload to meet schedule and ensure on-time completion.
  • Track project financials and adjust scope to stay within budget and schedule.
  • Support project reviews with Business/Accounting Manager and Department Manager.
  • Perform other duties as needed.

In the role of Bridge Project Manager, we'll count on you to:

  • Plan and manage all aspects of small to medium single-discipline projects or large, routine projects
  • Independently coordinate work of professional staff and balance team throughout entire project's development
  • Establish client relations, and be involved with marketing, contractual, design and production meetings
  • Participate in reviews with various governing agencies for compliance
  • Conduct work sessions for design development and contract document in conjunction with other staff
  • Coordinate workload through entire project development, and ensure completion of documents on schedule
  • Track financial aspects of projects, and coordinate and adjust work effort with team to ensure that work is completed within parameters of agreed-to schedule
  • Work with Business/Accounting Manager or Project Controller and Department Manager for project reviews and with company management as needed
  • Perform other duties as needed

Preferred Qualifications

  • A license/certification
  • PMP certification

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in related field
  • 7 years related experience
  • A minimum of 2 years project management experience
  • Must have the ability to interact with various design teams, have excellent organizational, project management and communication (both written and verbal) skills
  • An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
