Job summary

HDR is seeking a Bridge Project Manager to lead small to medium single-discipline projects or large routine projects within HDR's Transportation Business Group. You will coordinate professional staff, establish client relations, and participate in design, production and contract reviews to ensure on-schedule delivery.

Required qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree, 7 years related experience, and at least 2 years project management experience; PMP certification is preferred.

  • Ability to interact with design teams and stakeholders with strong written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and manage all aspects of small to medium single-discipline projects or large, routine projects.
  • Independently coordinate work of professional staff and balance team throughout the project’s development.
  • Establish client relations and participate in marketing, contractual, design and production meetings.
  • Participate in reviews with governing agencies for compliance.
  • Conduct design development and contract document work sessions with staff.
  • Coordinate workload through project development and ensure on-schedule completion of documents.
  • Track project finances and adjust work effort to meet schedule constraints.
  • Collaborate with the Project Controller, Department Manager, and company leadership as needed.
  • Perform other duties as needed.

Education

Bachelor's degree in related field
7 years related experience
A minimum of 2 years project management experience
Strong communication and organizational skills

In the role of Bridge Project Manager, we'll count on you to:
  • Plan and manage all aspects of small to medium single-discipline projects or large, routine projects
  • Independently coordinate work of professional staff and balance team throughout entire project's development
  • Establish client relations, and be involved with marketing, contractual, design and production meetings
  • Participate in reviews with various governing agencies for compliance
  • Conduct work sessions for design development and contract document in conjunction with other staff
  • Coordinate workload through entire project development, and ensure completion of documents on schedule
  • Track financial aspects of projects, and coordinate and adjust work effort with team to ensure that work is completed within parameters of agreed-to schedule
  • Work with Business/Accounting Manager or Project Controller and Department Manager for project reviews and with company management as needed
  • Perform other duties as needed
Preferred Qualifications
  • A license/certification
  • PMP certification
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in related field
  • 7 years related experience
  • A minimum of 2 years project management experience
  • Must have the ability to interact with various design teams, have excellent organizational, project management and communication (both written and verbal) skills
