Manpower in Hanover, PA is seeking a skilled Mill Machinist for second shift (3pm-11pm) with training on first shift. Pay is $35.00–$40.00 per hour plus $2.00/hour shift differential.

The role involves working with large-scale parts and complex setups on a bridge mill, with extensive hands-on setup and training under experienced team members. Training will begin on first or mid-shift before transitioning to permanent second shift.

Qualifications

• Previous machining experience required.
• Experience working with large parts, structural fabrication, framework, heavy equipment, or complex setups strongly preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and machining specifications.
• Basic understanding of CNC machining processes.
• Familiarity with G-Code and M-Code is beneficial but not required.
• Ability to recognize when a machine program is running incorrectly or when a potential crash condition exists.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.

Responsabilités

• Perform machining preparation work, including drilling, tapping, and milling operations prior to machine setup.
• Assist with the setup and operation of a large bridge mill used to machine oversized components.
• Read and interpret blueprints, work instructions, and setup documentation.
• Secure, align, and verify large and often complex workpieces for machining.
• Monitor machine operations to ensure quality, accuracy, and safe operation.
• Recognize potential machining issues and intervene when necessary to prevent equipment damage or program errors.
• Conduct quality checks using measuring tools and inspection equipment.
• Maintain a safe, organized, and productive work environment.
