Job summary

Kiewit Bridge & Marine is seeking an entry-level Field/Office Engineer to support field operations and office engineering across the Pacific Northwest. You will interpret drawings, assist with measurements, planning, and cost data, and coordinate with subcontractors and vendors to keep projects moving.

Ideal candidates have 0-1 years in construction, strong communication, and the ability to travel and relocate as needed.

Qualifications

• Able to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Willing to travel and relocate as required.
• Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel and basic computer skills.
• Strong organizational and time-management abilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist in interpretation of drawings and specifications for field crews and craft supervision.
• Perform quantity calculations by taking measurements and determining percentages of completed materials.
• Assist in the preparation of work plans and work packages.
• Assist in field surveying and work layout support including elevation, control points, and as-built data.
• Assist in compiling daily labor timesheets and Job Hazard Analyses (JHA’s).
• Assist in providing solutions related to underground tunneling and construction operations.
• Order and schedule material deliveries; plan, schedule, and coordinate work groups on site.
• Supervise field operations; provide field support to subcontractors.
• Assist in maintenance of project records, RFIs, and cost reporting.
