Job summary

Curtis Contracting, Inc. in Virginia seeks a seasoned foreman to lead safe, productive field operations on bridge maintenance and repair projects. You will plan work sequences, coordinate equipment, inspections, and onsite deliveries while guiding a field crew to meet goals.

You’ll partner with subcontractors and vendors, ensure compliance with plans and regulatory requirements, supervise personnel, and provide coaching and corrective action to drive quality and timely completion of projects.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of construction experience with strong field leadership.
• Background in bridge structure construction as foreman, superintendent, or lead.
• Proven ability to plan work, coordinate subs and suppliers, and manage inspections.
• OSHA 10 certification and a valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Lead safe, productive field operations on bridge maintenance and repair projects.
• Coordinate logistics: schedules, inspections, materials, equipment, and onsite deliveries.
• Partner with subcontractors and vendors to align milestones and resolve issues.
• Ensure compliance with plans, specifications, and regulatory requirements.
• Supervise and coach field personnel—set expectations, provide feedback, and take corrective action when needed.
• Plan work sequences and adjust to changing conditions to meet project goals.
