Job summary

HDR is offering a Summer 2027 internship in our Transportation Business Group focusing on Bridge. As a Bridge Intern, you will participate in real-world projects under professional supervision, learn standard engineering techniques, and connect with company leaders through mentoring programs.

Preferred candidates are pursuing a Master’s in Structural Engineering or are local/regional and available for the summer 2027 period.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate Engineering program.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Basic Microsoft Office skills.
• Active participant in employee-owned culture.
• Preference for local/regional candidates pursuing Master's in Structural Engineering during summer 2027.

Responsibilities

• Participate in real-world projects and learn through hands-on experiences.
• Connect with grads and leaders via mentoring and young professionals programs.
• Apply standard engineering techniques and procedures.
• Perform assignments under direct supervision of a professional or Project Manager.
• Take on additional duties as needed.
