Join Our Team as a Bridge Inspector Team Lead at TPD

Ideal Candidate: Has a minimum of 3 years of experience, a strong work ethic, eagerness to learn, team collaboration skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects. We offer a creative, flexible, supportive, and fun environment!

Responsibilities:

• Assist in planning and preparing bridge inspections, including data collection and route coordination.
• Review plans and site layouts for bridge information.
• Inspect bridge components for structural integrity and safety, ensuring compliance with NBIS and FHWA standards.
• Assign condition and appraisal ratings per agency guidelines.
• Collect inspection data and enter it into PennDOT’s systems.
• Monitor construction site progress and serve as on-site project representative.

Job Requirements:

• Desirable: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (not mandatory).
• Certified Bridge Safety Inspector (CBSI) or willingness to complete training and certification.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions, including day/night shifts and extended hours.
• Capability to navigate bridge structures, including rugged terrain, heights, waterways, and traffic areas.
• Willingness to travel within PA (travel paid).
• Valid Driver’s License.
