Job summary

Candidates are expected to have certifications such as Engineer in Training (EIT) and NHI Safety Inspection of Bridges. The role also involves preparing project reports and assisting engineering teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering and 2 years of relevant experience, or Master’s degree and 1 year of experience.
• NHI Safety Inspection of Bridges (130055) certification preferred.
• Experience with inspecting highway bridges required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the inspection of highway bridges throughout Pennsylvania.
• Create reports and perform load rating analyses.
• Prepare and modify project reports, plans, designs, and calculations.
• Develop project quantities and assist with development of cost estimates.
• Assist engineering teams with organization and support of design files.

Skills

Engineer in Training (EIT) certification

Knowledge of PennDOT Pub 238, Pub 100A, and BMS3

Proficiency in MicroStation and/or AutoCAD

Experience with load rating analyses

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

Education

Bachelor's degree in Engineering
