Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Bridge Inspection Team Leader / Engineer III to join our Grand Rapids, MI or Novi, MI office. The role involves routine and fracture critical inspections using snooper/bucket trucks, boats, and man lifts, with travel in-state and out-of-state as needed.

Responsibilities include data gathering, basic engineering calculations, and supervising entry-level engineers. Preference given to those with PE licensure, EIT, and experience in bridge design or load rating.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Engineering or demonstrated equivalency with 4+ years of experience.
• Valid DMV license.
• Preferred: PE licensure and/or EIT status.

Responsibilities

• Performs specific and limited portions of a broader assignment of an experienced engineer.
• Gathers basic engineering data using established procedures.
• Performs routine engineering calculations and tests.
• Provides guidance to entry level engineers.
• Travel within Michigan and to other states as required.
