Job summary

Patel, Greene & Associates is seeking an experienced Bridge Inspection Group Leader to oversee and grow our bridge inspection practice while ensuring the safety, integrity, and compliance of transportation infrastructure. This role can be based in any office and leads inspection teams across projects.

Ideal candidates have 10–15 years of bridge inspection experience, a Civil/Environmental Engineering degree (ABET-accredited), and a PE license or NBIS Team Leader qualification, with

Qualifications

• Registered PE or NBIS Team Leader qualification required.
• 10–15 years of bridge inspection experience including team leadership.
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering (ABET-accredited).
• Completion of FHWA/NHI Safety Inspection training; NBIS knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Lead bridge inspection teams for routine, fracture-critical, miscellaneous structures and special inspections.
• Assess structural conditions and identify deficiencies affecting safety and performance.
• Ensure compliance with NBIS, FHWA, FDOT, and AASHTO inspection requirements.
• Review and approve inspection reports, condition ratings, and repair recommendations.
• Coordinate field operations, safety planning, and inspection schedules.
• Interface with clients and PGA leaders to grow the bridge inspection practice.
• Mentor discipline staff and develop future leaders within the group.
• Direct and manage resources of the group; report to Directors/Executives.
