Job summary

STV in Franklin, TN is seeking a Structural Engineering Specialist to join our Transportation team. You will work with engineers and designers on multiple projects, developing plans, calculations, and construction documents.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, a basic understanding of structural engineering fundamentals, and proficiency with Civil/structural design software. A valid driver’s license is required; an Engineer-in-Training certificate is preferred but not

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering.
Fundamental understanding of structural engineering concepts.
Proficiency with civil/structural design software.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Willingness to work with clients and stakeholders on multidisciplinary projects.
Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

Participate in planning, design, and construction projects.
Assist in developing technical design reports, calculations, and memos.
Use software to design structural elements such as bridges and retaining walls.
Develop construction documents, including technical drawings and specifications.
Participate in meetings with clients and stakeholders and develop content for these meetings.
