Job summary

Procon Consulting, LLC seeks a Construction Inspector for a VDOT project in Fredericksburg, VA. The role requires 3+ years of highway/bridge inspection experience and the ability to verify asphalt and concrete quality against plans and specs.

You will monitor materials, temperature, density, and thickness, document findings, and support on-site coordination with the Senior Project Inspector. Applicants should have strong communication skills and be able to operate in an active construction

Qualifications

• 3+ years of highway and bridge construction inspections experience.
• Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or Engineering is preferred but not required.
• High-School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Experience with Prolog Construction Management software is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure asphalt or concrete road construction meets quality standards by inspecting materials, procedures, and final product.
• Monitor temperature, density, and thickness; maintain accurate logs and daily reports.
• Review blueprints, monitor progress, and verify work with survey instruments and photography.
• Provide onsite field representation and coordinate GC and Client activities.
• Verify materials delivered and installed comply with contract documents.
• Maintain safety oversight and report non-compliances to the Client.
