Job summary

Stonebrooke Engineering in Burnsville, MN, seeks a Bridge Engineering Group Manager to lead our Bridge Group in the Burnsville office. This role oversees 3–5 bridge staff and helps deliver bridge, structural, transportation, and related infrastructure projects for state, local government, and private clients.

The position combines technical leadership, project management, staff development, client service, and strategic planning.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of bridge/structural engineering experience with PM.
• PE licensure in Minnesota or ability to obtain it.
• Strong knowledge of bridge design, rehabilitation and load ratings.
• Experience with state/local government and transportation clients.

• Lead, mentor, and manage the Bridge Engineering Group.
• Provide technical leadership for bridge design, rehabilitation, analysis, load ratings, studies, and inspections.
• Oversee scopes, schedules, budgets, staffing, deliverables, and quality control.

• Serve as primary technical and client contact for bridge projects.

We are seeking a Bridge Engineering Group Manager to lead our Bridge Group in the Burnsville, MN office. • Oversee scopes, schedules, budgets, staffing, deliverables, and quality control

• Serve as a primary technical and client contact for bridge projects
• Support business development by identifying opportunities, contributing to proposals, participating in interviews, and helping position the firm for bridge and transportation pursuits
• Coordinate workload, staffing, training, and professional development

Preferred Skills, Experience, and Qualifications:

• Ability to lead, mentor, and develop a small technical team.
• Strong background in bridge design, rehabilitation, structural analysis, load ratings, and transportation projects.
• Experience managing bridge projects for state, local government, and transportation agency clients.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, budgets, schedules, and team assignments.
• Experience with AASHTO LRFD, MnDOT standards, and bridge design manuals.
• Proficiency with structural analysis, bridge design, production software, and Microsoft Office.
• Strong communication skills with clients, public agencies, teams, subconsultants, and contractors.
• Minimum 10 years of bridge or structural engineering experience, including project management and staff leadership.
• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or a related field, with Professional Engineer (PE) licensure in Minnesota or the ability to obtain it.
• Additional qualifications include a valid driver’s license, eligibility to work in the United States, and the ability to travel periodically for client meetings, project site visits, and agency coordination
