Job summary

Civil Design, Inc. (CDI) is seeking a Bridge Engineer – Project Manager to lead the Structures/Bridge Group and manage transportation-related projects across multiple office locations.

The role requires directing design teams, coordinating with clients and officials, and ensuring quality while adhering to CDI safety procedures. PE licensure (IL preferred) and 10+ years of bridge design are highly valued. Travel up to 10% is expected.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of bridge design experience.
• Master’s degree in civil/structural engineering preferred.
• PE licensure is preferred.
• Experience leading bridge projects and teams.
• Proficient with MicroStation/ORD and bridge materials.

Responsibilities

• Lead structural engineering projects by defining scope and budgets, directing design, and coordinating with staff and design teams.
• Sign/seal work as required.
• Analyze and design transportation-related structures including bridges and culverts.
• Serve as key contact with clients, contractors, and officials.
• Assist in engineering project proposals and collaborate with leadership to develop solutions.
• Ensure compliance with CDI safety procedures.
