Bridge Engineer PE

Location: Tallahassee

Type: Regular, Hybrid

We are seeking a highly motivated Bridge Engineer to join our team in Tallahassee. You will work closely with a team of experts, collaborating with our customers on some of North America's most significant projects, including contributions to projects like the Bayonne Bridge and Wekiva Section 6.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare work plans, schedules, and budgets, and perform analysis of complex structures
  • Prepare design calculations and drawings according to applicable design codes, and produce engineering reports and technical documents
  • Prepare standard construction documents, such as technical specifications and tender documents
  • Conduct site inspections and perform other responsibilities as required

The first step to success in this role is eagerness to collaborate with colleagues, partners, and customers, acting respectfully and delivering on promises. You should be open to exploring new insights and ways to improve.

Additionally, you will:

  • Hold a bachelor's degree in Structural Engineering or higher (Master's preferred), be registered as an Engineer or able to obtain registration within 12 months, with at least 5+ years of experience in Bridge Design or equivalent
  • Be familiar with structural design codes such as AASHTO and structural analysis software (e.g., SOFiSTiK, CSiBridge, MIDAS)
  • Be proficient in engineering software like Excel and Mathcad for calculations
  • Knowledge of parametric conceptual designs and programming environments like Grasshopper and Dynamo is beneficial
  • Preferably have experience in proposals, business development, and willingness to travel
