Job summary

Pennoni Associates is seeking a mid-level Bridge Engineer (4–10 years) to join our Lehigh Valley or Wyoming Valley, PA offices. The role involves leading bridge and culvert design projects, coordinating with multiple disciplines, and supervising junior staff.

You will attend client meetings, assist in proposals for new work, and prepare designs, load ratings, calculations, and PS&E packages for PennDOT submissions.

Qualifications

• E.I./E.I.T required with ability to obtain P.E. license within 12 months of joining Pennoni.
• Working knowledge of PennDOT bridge design, analysis, and rating software.
• Proficiency with MicroStation CAD software.
• Experience with Open Bridge Designer/Modeler is a plus.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and proficiency in MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Lead bridge and culvert rehabilitation and/or replacement design projects with limited supervision.
• Coordinate with roadway, traffic, geotechnical, civil and environmental disciplines.
• Supervise junior engineers and coordinate with other project staff.
• Attend meetings, interact with clients, and assist in preparing proposals for new work.
• Prepare bridge designs, load ratings, calculations, construction plans, specifications, estimates and schedules for PennDOT submissions; assist PS&E packages.
