Job description

Position Overview

Woolpert seeks a Transportation Bridge Engineer to join our Transportation Design team in Houston, TX. This role involves contributing to transportation infrastructure projects across multiple states, focusing on bridges, culverts, sign structures, and retaining walls in Texas. The position offers exposure to diverse engineering practices and potential career advancement.

We are unable to provide visa sponsorship for this position. Applicants must already possess work authorization in the country where the job is located.

What You Will Do
  • Work under the guidance of Licensed Professional Engineers on transportation structures projects.
  • Assist in the analysis and design of bridges, culverts, retaining walls, and related structural components.
  • Support preparation of plans, specifications, and engineering calculations in accordance with AASHTO and state DOT standards.
  • Utilize engineering software (e.g., MicroStation, OpenRoads, or structural analysis tools) to support design and drafting tasks.
  • Aid in the development of 3D models and structural layouts for transportation infrastructure projects.
  • Assist with quantity take-offs, cost estimating, and construction documentation.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on transportation projects including roadway, geotechnical, and hydrological analysis.
  • Provide general project support across multiple assignments as needed.

  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and work collaboratively across teams.

Pay Range

$75,400 - $94,300 USD
