Job summary

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Structural Engineering is required.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in bridge design.
• Experience with Caltrans Districts 7, 8, 11 or 12 preferred.
• Proficiency in structural analysis and bridge design software.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Prepare bridge designs following Caltrans PS&E processes.
• Work on bridges, box culverts and interchanges for highway projects.
• Develop structural details using specialized software and perform load calculations.
• Review and check design calculations and interface with junior engineers.
