Job summary

Parsons is seeking a Bridge Engineer II to join our Critical Infrastructure team in the United States. You will independently develop engineering products, supervise work, and provide technical direction on major infrastructure projects that change communities.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Civil Engineering, 5+ years of related experience, and an EIT certificate (PE license preferred). CAD proficiency and strong communication are essential as you collaborate with teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Civil Engineering (or related field).
• 5+ years of related work experience.
• Engineer-in-Training (EIT) Certificate required; PE license preferred.
• Proficiency in CAD and other PC software packages used in engineering.

Responsibilities

• Independently develop/supervise engineering products that meet customer quality requirements.
• Prepare calculations, drawings, procurement documents, design and installation packages, reports.
• Provide support for additional engineering activities as required.
• May supervise subordinates and provide performance input.
• Lead engineer on a small to intermediate project.
• Guide CAD Designers and junior engineers on the project.

Job Description:

Parsons has opened a position for an talented and driven Bridge Engineer (Engineer II) with a desire to work on major infrastructure projects that change the fabric of our community.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Independently develop and/or supervise the creation of engineering products that meet customer quality requirements. This includes defining the problem, establishing the work scope, preparing the budget and schedule, planning the work, providing technical direction, and reporting the work status
• Develop detailed calculations, drawings, procurement documents, design and installation packages, proposal evaluations, technical reports, and detailed analyses
• Provide support for other engineering activities as required.
• May supervise one or more subordinates and provide input regarding performance
• May be assigned to a project or organizational team, or as a lead engineer for a specific discipline on a small to intermediate size project
• Provide input and technical guidance to CAD Designer/Drafters, Designers, and lower level Engineers working on the same project

Required Skills and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Civil Engineering (or related field)
• 5+ years of related work experience
• Engineer-in-Training (EIT) Certificate required. Professional Engineering license preferred
• Proficiency in utilizing CAD and other PC software packages typically associated with engineering is required

Preferred Skills and Experience:

• Professional Engineering license preferred

Salary Range: $74,800.00 - $130,900.00
