Job summary

Whitman, Requardt & Associates, LLP in Richmond, VA is seeking entry-level Bridge Engineers to join our multi-disciplinary team. You will develop bridge and structural plans for transportation projects for VDOT and localities.

The successful candidate has a Civil Engineering degree from an ABET-accredited program (master’s preferred) with 0–4 years of experience and internship exposure. EIT/FE certification is a plus; NBIS experience is a plus.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from ABET-accredited program; master’s degree preferred.
  • 0–4 years of relevant experience required.
  • Desire relevant internship experience.
  • EIT/FE certification preferred.
  • NBIS inspection a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Develop bridge and structural plans for transportation projects for VDOT and municipalities.
  • Work on a multi-disciplinary team to design infrastructure.

We are looking for entry-level Bridge Engineers to join our team in our Richmond, VA office. In this role, the engineer will work on a multi-disciplinary team developing bridge and structural plans for transportation projects for VDOT and/or municipal localities.

Requirements
  • Must have a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited program, master's degree preferred
  • 0-4 years of relevant experience required
  • Desire relevant internship experience
  • Must be able to work independently and in a design group setting
  • EIT/FE certification preferred
  • NBIS inspection, a plus

The expected compensation range for this position is $70,000.00 - $125,000.00. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s relevant knowledge, training, skills, work location, and/or experience.
