Overview

Van Cleef Engineering Associates, LLC is a dynamic, multi-disciplinary civil engineering firm with offices in New Jersey and Pennsylvania. We offer expertise in civil engineering, municipal engineering, planning, and land surveying. Our Freehold, NJ office seeks a qualified Bridge Inspector Team Leader/Bridge Engineer to join our team. This role involves working directly with professionals across offices, providing opportunities for growth and leadership.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform bridge safety inspections and assist senior inspectors
• Design, detail, and draft bridge and highway elements; prepare inspection reports
• Inspect moving equipment at various heights
• Support office work with engineering tasks

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (ABET accredited)
• 3-7 years of experience, preferably with bridge inspections
• Valid Driver’s License
• Strong communication, data management, and technical writing skills
• Proficiency in engineering calculations, spreadsheets, report writing
• Safety Inspection of In-Service Bridges (NHI Course 130053) and/or Bridge Inspector (Team Leader) Certification a plus
• NJ PE license, experience with load ratings, NJTA/NJDOT inspections, MicroStation proficiency are additional pluses
