Job Description

Coffman Engineers is seeking a Bridge Engineer (three to five years) for employment in our Spokane office, with opportunities to support our Olympia, Seattle, Burlington, and Portland offices. Our primary marketplace is Washington, Oregon, and Idaho, with potential projects across the United States. The successful candidate will be an independent, self-motivated, energetic team player looking for a challenging and rewarding opportunity within a dynamic and progressive firm.

The candidate will assist in managing, designing, and detailing bridge projects of various sizes and complexities. They should be capable of networking with clients from diverse backgrounds, including private, local, state, and federal agencies.

The work is mainly office-based, but some fieldwork may be required, involving working at heights, in confined spaces, near highway traffic, and on aerial lift platforms, following safety procedures and using appropriate equipment.

This position is not eligible for sponsorship.

Qualifications

• A BSCE degree with emphasis in bridge/structural engineering; an MSCE with similar emphasis is preferred.
• Three to five years of experience in bridge design, seismic assessment, in-service inspection, bridge load ratings, repairs, and rehabilitations.
• Professional Engineer License.
• Experience with AASHTO Bridge Design Specifications and Department of Transportation standards (WSDOT, ITD, ODOT) is preferred.
• Experience with analysis software such as AutoCAD, PGSuper, Risa 3D, MathCAD, and Bluebeam Revu is preferred.
• Strong technical, organizational, leadership, supervisory, and communication skills.
• Self-motivated and eager to learn.

Expected annual salary of $85,000 - $110,000.
