Job summary

Fuss & O’Neill, Inc. is seeking an experienced Bridge Engineer to lead design efforts for multi-disciplinary projects across New England. The role emphasizes safe, resilient bridge structures and collaboration with a high-performing team.

You will mentor junior engineers, coordinate with other disciplines, and ensure QC/QA while supporting site visits and inspections during design and construction. Hybrid in-office and remote work options are available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with a concentration in Structural Engineering.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in bridge engineering and design.
• Familiarity with regional DOTs (NHDOT, MaineDOT, MassDOT, VTrans) strongly preferred.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and MicroStation is desirable.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Execute bridge design efforts on multi-disciplinary projects.
• Coordinate with other disciplines and support staff to develop design calculations and bridge plans.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers in design tasks and project development.
• Ensure compliance with project budgets, schedules, and all QC/QA protocols.
• Perform site visits and bridge inspections during design and construction phases as needed.

The base salary range for this role is indicated in the posting. This range reflects the company’s good faith estimate of the compensation for this position at the time of posting.
