Bridge Designer (EIT), for COWI in North America

Can you assist a highly professional team that provides consulting, project management, and design and construction engineering services on numerous complex bridge design projects? We are looking for a Bridge EIT to join our team. You are going to work closely with a team of experts working alongside our customers on some of North America's most significant projects. And we are thrilled to have contributed to projects like Bayonne Bridge and Wekiva Section 6 project.

Your key responsibilities will be to:

• Assist in preparing design calculations, drawings, and cost estimates
• Apply design code clauses to engineering tasks assigned under supervision
• Communicate effectively and professionally with all team members
• Attend project meetings and provide an update on assigned tasks and assist in preparing engineering reports and other technical documents
• Conduct site inspections from time to time and perform other responsibilities as required

On top of that, you will have:

• Hold a Master’s degree in Structural Engineering or higher, along with 0-2 years of relevant experience
• Be registered as an Engineer-in-Training in the home state or have the ability to obtain before employment
• Be familiar with the use of structural design codes such as AASHTO along with having sufficient exposure to use AutoCAD, Microstation, BIM, Google Sketchup or other detailing programs
• Be conversant in the use of engineering software such as Excel and Mathcad to efficiently produce engineering calculations.
• Preferably be familiar with structural analysis software programs (ex: LUSAS, SoFistik, CSiBridge, MIDAS)
