Job summary
AtkinsRéalis in Miami, FL seeks a Bridge Engineering Intern for Spring 2027 to perform design calculations for bridges and civil structures, and to support senior engineers by preparing reinforcement lists, quantity take-offs, and redlines. You will complete technical training, review shop drawings for design compliance, and learn analysis software such as MathCAD, Excel, and bridge modeling tools.

Qualifications
- EXPERIENCE: Prior experience working with a team in a professional setting.
- EDUCATION: Must be a junior and have completed 90 hours towards a civil engineering degree from an ABET accredited program by the start of the internship (Summer 2027).
- SPECIAL SKILLS: Ability to learn analysis software including MathCAD, Excel, and bridge modeling tools.
Responsibilities
- Perform design calculations for bridges and civil structures.
- Support the senior engineers by preparing reinforcement lists, quantity take-offs, and redlines for bridges and civil structures.
- Complete technical training courses assigned for career development.
- Review shop drawings for compliance with design plans.
