Job summary

Morton Thomas and Associates, Inc. (AMT) is seeking a Structural / Bridge Engineer with 4+ years of experience in analysis and design for highway and pedestrian bridges, walls, load ratings, and related structures. Richmond, VA or other offices, with local travel as needed.

You will lead design efforts, mentor staff, and support DOTs and municipal clients, while enjoying an ESOP-driven culture and strong benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from ABET-accredited program; Master's preferred.
• PE licensure required or ability to obtain via reciprocity within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Prepares, performs, and checks structural analysis, design plans, and estimates for bridge projects with multi-disciplinary teams.
• Mentors team members and leads design processes on bridge/structural projects.
• Reviews DOT/local agency standards and ensures quality of work products.
• Gathers construction documents and cost estimates; performs field investigations when needed.
• Supports business development and client meetings; leads technical discussions.
