Job summary

HNTB Corporation is seeking an experienced engineer in New York/New Jersey to produce and modify design calculations, reports, and plans for major infrastructure projects. You will work with project managers to research, develop, and deliver design solutions, mentoring junior staff and ensuring quality across disciplines.

The role emphasizes collaboration across multidisciplinary teams, adherence to project schedules, and the development of technical deliverables using current engineering tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with 4 years of relevant experience, or Master’s with 3 years, or PhD with 2 years.
• Proven ability to develop discipline-specific engineering deliverables and guidance to junior staff.
• Experience with load ratings and knowledge of bridge codes is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Complete assigned work within schedule and hours provided.
• Assist in development of project specifications and deliverables.
• Develop discipline-specific design elements, reports, and plans.
• Coordinate and contribute within multi-discipline project teams.
• Provide technical guidance to junior staff on engineering tasks.
• Perform quality control reviews of engineering deliverables.
• Assist in planning schedules, hours, and workload distribution.
