Job summary

HDR in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, seeks a Bridge EIT/Bridge Design Coordinator to contribute to the development of bridge designs on highway projects. You will apply structural engineering and detailing techniques, use OpenRoads Designer, MicroStation, AutoCAD, and other software, and participate in bridge inspections as needed.

Bachelor's degree is required; an EIT is preferred, with potential progression to higher levels.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in structural or civil engineering.
• EIT preferred; candidates without EIT may be placed in Bridge Design Coordinator role and progress to EIT.
• Proficiency with OpenRoads Designer, MicroStation, AutoCAD, and structural analysis software.
• Familiarity with ITD standards/policies and bridge/structural design experience.

Responsibilities

• Apply structural engineering and detailing techniques in bridge design development.
• Work on highway projects with bridges, box culverts, and interchanges.
• Select standard design procedures and develop structural details using software.
• Periodically conduct bridge inspections or field observations.
• Perform structural load calculations and assist with layout and quantity development.
• Perform other duties as needed.
