Job summary

DC Army National Guard in Mobridge, SD seeks a Bridge Crewmember to support dry and wet gap crossing operations, and to assemble and maintain military bridges and related equipment. This outdoor role emphasizes physical fitness, teamwork, and safety.

You’ll train in bridge construction and engineering, learn road maintenance, rough carpentry, rigging, and tool use, and benefit from paid training, tuition assistance, and healthcare while serving.

Qualifications

• Must enlist in the Army National Guard and meet eligibility criteria.
• High school diploma or GED required, or be a junior in high school.
• Ability to pass physical and meet citizenship requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and maintain military fixed and float bridges.
• Operate bridge trucks and light vehicles; prepare bridge sites.
• Assist in rafting operations and bridge construction projects.
