Job summary

Genesee & Wyoming Inc. in Albany, OR is seeking a full-time bridge crew member to maintain and repair railroad bridges, ensuring safe and reliable rail operations.

Under the Bridge Foreman or General Manager, you will perform hands-on tasks in an outdoor environment with a focus on teamwork and high safety standards. You will handle materials, correct deviations, and operate tools for rail construction and maintenance.

Qualifications

• Must have at least 2 years of work experience.
• Experience with heavy hand tools and outdoor work is a plus.
• Knowledge of roadway-worker protection regulations is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily bridge maintenance and repairs.
• Unload and distribute materials such as rail, ties, and spikes.
• Correct deviations in bridge surface, alignment, and gauge.
• Install and repair wood trestles and structures.
• Operate rail-related tools as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
