Job summary

Reeves Construction Company in Union, SC, is seeking a Skilled Laborer (Bridge Crew). The role supports road and site projects with safety as a priority and requires performing varied tasks on bridges and roads.

You may use hand and power tools, work nights if needed, and must meet safety standards. Spanish language skills are preferred; 18+; a valid license is helpful; travel to job sites may be required.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Bilingual in Spanish is preferred.
• Previous experience (preferred).
• Available to work nights (if needed).
• Driving License (preferred); must have reliable transportation to and from the job sites.
• Ability to use hand tools and power tools.
• Must demonstrate excellent safety awareness, and a willingness to comply with company policies and safety standards.
• Periodic evenings, nights, weekends, and overtime hours are expected.
• Must wear proper attire at all times including safety vests, safety glasses, long pants, above the ankle/safety-toed shoes.
• Must be able to provide proper documentation that you have the legal right to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Perform various labor activities including shoveling dirt, sand, asphalt or concrete using short or long handle shovels.
• Cut or trim trees and vegetation using axes, sling blades, chain saws or power weed trimmers.
• Drive stakes or break pavement using sledge hammers, dig holes using post hole diggers, operate hand-driven compaction devices, broom dirt and debris with hand brooms.
• Work at locations such as asphalt plants, existing roads or streets under traffic, new roads and streets without traffic, building sites, or the office/shop facilities.
• Work safely and follow the company policies.
