Job summary

WSP is seeking a Full-Time Construction Manager/Field Engineer for the Cincinnati, OH office, with duties centered on the Brent Spence Bridge project. This role involves frontline advocacy for the Owner, coordinating with Contractor, Designer, and CEI staff to ensure safety, quality, and timely communication.

The position requires a Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering, 7+ years directing civil construction, and relevant certifications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Construction Management, Civil Engineering) or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 7 years directing construction activities and crews on civil projects.
• Prequalification as Construction Engineer Level 1/Construction Manager with Ohio DOT or Engineer-In-Training per Kentucky board.
• ACI Level I Certification and related field technician qualifications.
• Ability to read and interpret contract documents and apply codes and standards.
• Proven commitment to safety and compliance with policies.

Responsibilities

• Manage construction administration including change orders and field issues.
• Oversee inspection, quality control, materials testing, and QA/QC.
• Coordinate RFIs, design changes, and contractor non-conformance with project stakeholders.
• Utilize AASHTOWare, Procore, and other systems for data capture and documentation.
• Lead weekly/monthly progress/look-ahead meetings with CEI staff and contractors.
• Act as liaison between Contractor and Owner and support dispute resolution.
