Job summary

Blythe Construction, Inc. is seeking a Bridge and/or Structure Carpenter to join our skilled craft team.

This hourly-rated role involves constructing forms for concrete footings, slabs, walls, columns, bridge decks and bent caps, with duties spanning formwork, concrete operations, rebar tying, and rigging signals on site. The position demands reading blueprints, working with power tools, and maintaining safety on an outdoor construction site.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or demonstrated on-site experience.
• Ability to read blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
• Experience with formwork for concrete bridges, footings, decks and columns is a plus.
• Strong safety mindset and ability to work in teams on an outdoor construction site.

Responsibilities

• Build and install wooden or metal forms for concrete bridge components.
• Assist in pouring, vibrating, grading, and finishing concrete to spec.
• Set and tie steel rebar within forms for structural strength.
• Operate hand and power tools; assist with heavy equipment as needed.
• Erect and dismantle temporary safety structures, scaffolding, and ladders.
• Maintain a clean, hazard-free job site and load/unload materials.
