Job summary

Blythe Construction in Raleigh, NC is seeking a Bridge and/or Structures Carpenter to join our field team. This hourly-rated skilled craft position focuses on building forms for concrete footings, slabs, walls, and bridge components.

The ideal candidate will read blueprints, operate power tools, and work safely on outdoor job sites, often at heights, while collaborating with teammates to deliver quality structures on schedule.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of formwork construction for concrete structures.
• Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.
• Experience with power tools and woodworking equipment.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work at heights.
• Commitment to safety and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Build and install forms for concrete bridge components.
• Pour, vibrate, grade, and finish concrete.
• Set and tie steel rebar within forms.
• Operate hand and power tools and occasional heavy equipment.
• Erect and dismantle temporary supports.
• Maintain a clean, hazard-free job site.
• Provide signals to crane operators during placement of heavy materials.
• Perform incidental duties from other crafts.
