Job summary

Archer Western de Moya JV, a member of The Walsh Group, is seeking a Carpenter for the Miami Signature Bridge project in Miami, FL. The carpenter will construct and install wooden structures for bridge and related works on a major transportation project.

Responsibilities include measuring, cutting, and assembling components, using hand and power tools, and ensuring safety on site. This role requires 3–5 years of verifiable carpentry experience and adherence to all safety policies.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of verifiable carpentry experience preferred.
• Ability to climb and balance on scaffold/ladder.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs; may be required to work in adverse weather conditions.
• Must comply with all safety policies and procedures; communicate effectively with co-workers and supervisors.
• Strong work ethic and desire to learn.
• Good manual dexterity; may be standing, bending, kneeling or sitting for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Measures distance and marks guidelines on working surface to prepare for laying down work.
• Prepares, builds, and installs wooden structures in line with prefabricated units to form bridges, drainage structures, walls and additional structures.
• May assist with installation of awnings, metal decking for concrete slabs (if decking is removed).
• Uses carpenter’s belt with carpentry hand tools, power tools, and other wood making machinery.
