The majority of open positions are part-time with open weekend availability.

The Stylist is responsible for providing and maintaining a positive, friendly, empathetic, and professional selling experience with all customers. Stylists are responsible for delivering 5-Star Customer Service, achieving sales goals, and performing duties related to store presentation and operations. They report to the Store Manager, in partnership with the Sales Manager. Bridal Stylists are brand ambassadors, demonstrating the values of the David’s Bridal brand.

Essential Job Functions:

Customer Focus

  • Welcome all customers with genuine enthusiasm, communicate clearly, and adapt style to suit customers.
  • Use all systems to manage customer flow and deliver a 5-star experience (Appointments, POS system). Use iPad tools to research and communicate information enthusiastically.
  • Provide exceptional service to multiple customers simultaneously, proactively address concerns, and know when to escalate.
  • Prepare for appointments by reviewing profiles, favorites, and preparing fitting rooms.
  • Build relationships by welcoming, asking questions, and listening to understand customer expectations and needs.
  • Identify the perfect gown/dress within the first three try-ons.
  • Review Timeline Calendar, set future appointments, and follow up with customers.
  • Promote alterations and personalization options, partnering with Alterations Specialists to set appointments and achieve an 80% conversion rate.
  • Ensure proper measurements are taken and entered correctly to minimize returns and exchanges.
  • Maintain store standards (clean, organized, promotional readiness) and report any equipment issues.
  • Follow dress code standards.
  • Offer loyalty and partners programs to support a one-stop shopping experience.

Analyzing & Decision Making

  • Respond promptly to customer questions, providing product and service information to build loyalty.

Managing Performance

  • Maintain sales productivity standards using the 5-Step Selling Process.
  • Support cash wrap behaviors, process transactions accurately, and promote additional sales and services.
  • Achieve a platform conversion rate of 65% or higher.
  • Meet add-on goals: headpieces 75%, foundations 10%, shoes 20%.
  • Book follow-up appointments for the wedding party.
  • Continuously build product knowledge and fashion trend expertise.
  • Aim to exceed sales targets and become a Circle of Excellence member.

Managing Change

  • Execute new processes, behaviors, contests, and programs as assigned.
  • Perform duties like promotion setup, merchandising, markdowns, and inventory counts.

  • Support sales, service, and operational goals.
  • Accurately clock in/out, follow loss prevention policies.

  • Focus on personal development, complete training, share expertise, and accept coaching.
  • Complete all required courses within 90 days.

Physical Demands:

Stand, walk, sit for long periods; reach, climb stairs, stoop, kneel, crouch; lift up to 25 pounds; see close and at a distance; use electronic devices.

Education & Credentials:

High school diploma or equivalent. 1-2 years retail experience preferred, with POS familiarity.
