Thimble Alterations is seeking an experienced bridal seamstress in Holladay, UT to guide brides through the alteration journey from fittings to final adjustments. This independent contractor role offers bookings sourced through the platform and the freedom to set your schedule and rates within platform guidelines.

You will work closely with brides on gown alterations, train in bustle creation, and coordinate with clients on timelines and expectations for wedding day preparations.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated bridal alteration experience (portfolio or references welcomed).
• Confidence working with high-value gowns and the patience to fit them properly.
• Strong customer-facing presence — brides remember the seamstress who calmed their nerves.
• Reliable workspace with adequate space for fitting and steaming.

Responsibilities

• Conduct first, second, and final fittings with brides for their wedding gowns.
• Customize gowns: hemming, side seams, bodice shaping, neckline adjustments, sleeve mods.
• Create bustles tailored to the dress design and the bride's preference.
• Handle bridesmaid dresses, mother-of-the-bride gowns, and ceremony attire beside the main gown.
• Explain timelines and what to expect on the day to the bride.
