Thimble Alterations LLC is seeking an experienced bridal seamstress to work one-on-one with brides throughout the alteration journey. This is an independent contractor role with bookings provided through our platform.

You will conduct fittings, customize gowns, and create bustles while coordinating with brides on timelines and expectations for the wedding day. The role involves handling bridesmaid and mother-of-the-bride gowns alongside the main dress.

Qualifications

• Bridal alterations experience with brides and gowns.
• Portfolio or references welcomed as proof of work.
• Strong customer-facing presence to reassure brides during fittings.
• Experience with high-value gowns and delicate fabrics preferred.
• Ability to work as an independent contractor with platform-guided bookings.

Responsibilities

• Conduct first, second, and final fittings with brides for wedding gowns.
• Customize gowns for each bride: hemming, side seams, bodice shaping, neckline adjustments, sleeve modifications.
• Create bustles tailored to the dress design and bride's preference.
• Handle bridesmaid dresses, mother-of-the-bride gowns, and ceremony attire alongside the main gown.
• Walk brides through timelines, possibilities, and expectations for their day.
