Maine Beer Company is hiring a Brewery & Warehouse Logistics Coordinator in Freeport (and Yarmouth) with 40+ hours weekly. The role blends dock coordination, warehouse duties, and outbound logistics to keep production flowing smoothly.

Expect hands-on work on docks and in the warehouse, with emphasis on safety, communication, and timely material transfers between facilities. CDL B required; occasional Westbrook coverage.

Qualifications

• A Class B CDL with air brake endorsement is required.
• Proficiency with forklifts and similar equipment.
• Strong time management, organization and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing schedules.
• Physical capability to lift up to 60 lbs repeatedly and be on your feet for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Monitor loading docks and coordinate truck arrivals, departures, pickups, and deliveries.
• Communicate dock status, delays, and conflicts to warehouse staff, brewery departments, drivers, and vendors.
• Identify and resolve congestion and obstacles at dock access.
• Continuously assess production schedules, material requests, and inventory levels.
• Maintain transfers of raw materials and finished products between warehouses and the Freeport facility.
• Safely load/unload company vehicles using pallet jacks and forklifts.
• Provide coverage at Yarmouth warehouse and support Westbrook operations as needed.
• Assist with warehouse reorganizations and continuous improvement initiatives.

What We’re Looking For:

The ideal candidate for the Brewery & Warehouse Logistics Coordinator role understands that effective logistics depends on communication as much as on moving material. They keep departments informed without being asked, anticipate needs before they become problems, and take ownership of the flow of information between the brewery, warehouse, and transportation teams.

They are comfortable splitting their day between the truck, the dock, and the warehouse floor if it’s required. They stay calm under pressure and when faced with unique challenges, and they take pride in keeping the loading area organized, production supplied, and the rest of the team set up to succeed.

This full-time position is based in Freeport, Maine and Yarmouth, Maine and requires at least 40 hours per week. The approximate pay range for this position is $28.00-$30.00/hr. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills and abilities.

Responsibilities will include:

Brewery Loading Dock & Traffic Coordination

• Monitor busy loading docks throughout the day and coordinate truck arrivals, departures, pickups, and deliveries.
• Communicate dock status, expected traffic, delays, and potential conflicts to warehouse staff, brewery departments, drivers, and outside vendors.
• Identify and resolve congestion and obstacles limiting dock access.
• Continuously assess daily production schedules, material requests, and inventory levels.
• Maintain accurate transfers of raw materials and finished product between the warehouses and the Freeport brewing facility.
• Check-in and distribute arriving deliveries and materials.
• Safely and efficiently load and unload company vehicles using electric pallet jacks and forklifts in a congested production facility.
• Provide coverage at our Yarmouth materials warehouse and support Westbrook distribution and trucking operations as needed.
• Assist with special projects, warehouse reorganizations, and continuous improvement initiatives as logistics needs evolve with the brewery's growth.

General Warehouse Duties

• Physical transportation of raw materials and finished goods between our Westbrook and Yarmouth warehouses and the Freeport brewery (Class B CDL required).
• Uphold our high standards for a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
• Conducting inventory checks and following First-In-First-Out (FIFO) practices.
• Basic maintenance and cleaning tasks.
• This position is primarily based in Freeport and Yarmouth, but some time will be spent at our Westbrook warehouse as needed.

Requirements

• This is a warehouse operations position requiring some bending/crouching, physical capability to lift up to 60 lbs to waist height and 25 lbs to shoulder height repetitively, and the ability to be on your feet for extended periods of time every day.
• Bonus points for mechanical aptitude and comfort with tools like MacOS, Google Workspace, Slack, and EKOS brewery management software (training available!).
