Job summary

Artisanal Brewing Ventures is seeking a Brewer for Southern Tier Brewing in Lakewood, NY. This role supports daily production across brewhouse, cellar, and packaging, ensuring quality and safety standards are met.

The ideal candidate has 1–3 years in brewing or related manufacturing, with a basic understanding of brewing processes, and strong mechanical aptitude. Join a team that values collaboration, growth, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years in brewing, food manufacturing, beverage production, or related industrial environment preferred.
• Formal brewing education or prior commercial brewing experience is a plus.
• Fundamental understanding of brewing, fermentation, and sanitation processes preferred.

Responsibilities

• The Brewer is responsible for executing daily production operations across the brewhouse, cellar, and/or packaging departments to support production, quality, and safety objectives.
• Maintain proficiency in at least two production areas, including brewhouse and cellar operations; cross-functional capability is strongly preferred.
• Operate manual and automated brewing and process equipment to produce wort and/or cider according to schedules and quality standards.
• Identify and communicate equipment, process, quality, or safety issues to leadership.
