Job description

Working directly under the General Manager, the Restaurant Manager will lead and manage the front of house team of our 1 Michelin Star Restaurant. The Restaurant Manager will help improve our F&B standards while focusing on providing unparalleled hospitality. This position requires flexibility and a wide range of hospitality and service skills. The Restaurant Manager actively embodies, inspires, and teaches skills that will elevate the core values of Bresca.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Help write schedules and monitor overtime.
  2. Participate in performance reviews and disciplinary actions.
  3. Help monitor tip pool weekly and make proactive adjustments to staff schedules as needed.
  4. Find new ways to increase guest and team satisfaction.
  5. Be attentive and adjust every aspect of the guest experience to ensure excellent hospitality.
  6. Maintain service standards and help create new ones for the betterment of the restaurant.
  7. Assist in hiring, training, and retaining team members.
  8. Foster a positive and innovative attitude towards challenges.
  9. Actively embody, inspire, and teach the tenets of hospitality to all.
  10. Help monitor the restaurant's book and push for higher revenue.
  11. Identify and pursue new opportunities and improvements.
  12. Assist in maintaining the restaurant by identifying and helping fix maintenance issues.
  13. Ensure the restaurant is clean and décor is well-maintained.
  14. Foster a fun environment during service and motivate the team to do the same, pushing Bresca to the next level.
Skills and Knowledge:
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal, oral, listening).
  • Strong leadership and organizational management skills.
  • Proficient in restaurant systems (Toast, Tock).
  • Food & beverage knowledge, including wines from all regions and spirits.
  • Understanding of general and local HR practices, policies, and procedures.
Preferred Experience:
  • 1-2 years in a leadership role in an upscale or fast-paced restaurant; Michelin-starred experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of POS systems (Toast), reservation systems (OpenTable), scheduling, employee relations, inventory, wine, and cocktails.
