Ochsner Health in New Orleans, LA is seeking a skilled maintenance technician to support the operation, repair, and maintenance of hospital facilities and equipment. This role includes participating in the accredited Facilities Apprenticeship Program and completing scheduled trainings and inspections.
You will perform general inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs of electrical, mechanical, and plumbing items, while maintaining documentation and adhering to policies.

Under supervision, performs a variety of skilled work in the operation, repair, and maintenance of buildings, equipment, and other related work as required. Skills are developed through training programs and then applied to maintenance and repairs of equipment including vessel boiler, electrical, air-conditioning refrigeration, plumbing, as well as a working knowledge of all other skill areas. This position is a bridge training and a steppingstone to a general mechanic role.

Required - High school diploma or equivalent.
Preferred - Experience working in the trades or completion of high school pre-apprenticeship program.
