Job summary

Thrive Therapies Group in Bremerton, WA, is seeking a Physical Therapist to support K-12 students in a school-based setting. You will conduct evaluations, develop IEP-goals, and provide direct PT services to improve mobility, gait, and participation in the school day.

A strong candidate holds a DPT or MPT, an active PT license (or licensure transfer in progress), and knowledge of IDEA and school-based PT practices. Experience with adaptive equipment is preferred.

Qualifications

  • PT degree from an accredited program (DPT or MPT).
  • Active state PT license or documented initiation of licensure transfer.
  • Knowledge of IDEA, IEP, and school-based PT model.
  • School-based pediatric PT experience and adaptive equipment familiarity preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct school-based PT evaluations and re-evaluations.
  • Develop individualized, functional IEP goals.
  • Provide direct physical therapy services.
  • Support gross motor development, mobility, gait, balance and coordination.
  • Evaluate and recommend adaptive equipment and positioning supports.
  • Consult with teachers and staff on physical access, mobility and safe transfer strategies.
  • Collaborate with families and interdisciplinary school teams.
  • Maintain accurate service documentation and progress notes.

Education

DPT or MPT from an accredited physical therapy program
Active state PT license or initiation of licensure transfer
