Job summary

Houston Methodist Hospital seeks a Breast Surgeon and academic leader to serve as Section Chief of Breast Surgery and Medical Director of the Breast Program at the HMNCC. This role combines clinical leadership with program development, education, and research, collaborating with radiology, pathology, oncology, and reconstructive teams.

The successful candidate will lead a system-wide breast surgery program, participate in tumor boards, teach residents and medical students, and help shape

Qualifications

• Significant surgical leadership and administrative experience.
• Fellowship training in breast surgery or equivalent surgical oncology.
• ABoS certification or equivalent considered preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical, strategic, and academic leadership for the breast program.
• Lead program development, quality improvement, and education.
• Participate in breast tumor boards and teach residents/students.
• Develop breast surgery curriculum and conferences; support call coverage if desired.
