Job summary

McLeod Health is seeking a dedicated Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join the Breast Surgery team at McLeod Breast Surgery Seacoast. The role focuses on outpatient breast care, risk assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, survivorship, and postoperative care in a collaborative practice.

The position includes a structured onboarding program with shadowing and mentorship, a typical clinic schedule, and limited call responsibilities to support surgeon coverage.

Qualifications

• Two+ years in surgical or oncology settings preferred.
• New graduates considered with significant surgical/oncology exposure.
• Strong clinical assessment and care coordination skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive Breast Surgery care in outpatient settings, including clinic visits, postoperative follow-up, survivorship care, and high‑risk breast health assessments.
• Collaborate with supervising physician Hannah Woriax, MD – Breast Surgery, through diagnosis, treatment planning, recovery, and long‑term follow-up.
• Manage benign breast conditions, high‑risk patients, cancer survivorship care, and postoperative surgical patients.
• Participate in a structured onboarding program with shadowing and mentorship, progressing to independent patient care.
• Limited call responsibilities as needed when the supervising physician is unavailable.
